Overview

The Community Developers Roundtable brings together a select group of established, diverse non-profit and for-profit community-oriented real estate developers.



Through targeted partnerships, tailored financial resources, and monthly sessions, selected Roundtable participants are offered a longer-term, developer-led structure to engage with established development practitioners, share financial resources, received updates on local policy, and align opportunities for catalytic real estate development.



Roundtable participants have access to dedicated funds for staff training, personal professional coaching, organizational feasibility, alongside a dedicated pre-development fund with flexible terms, rates, and repayment.



Eligibility

Participants must have a minimum of two years of real estate experience and have a completed or can demonstrate a pipeline of existing assets, with the goal of scaling their organizations.


TARGETED PRODUCT TYPES:

  • Single-family housing, attainable for buyers earning up to 120% of AMI  
  • Multifamily Housing, attainable for renters earning up to 80% AMI
  • Commercial real estate located in underserved or distressed areas


Session Structure

Partnering with BCL of Texas, their existing fund structure will be utilized to manage, underwrite, and administer predevelopment funds for Roundtable Members.

  • Environmental assessments
  • Site plans and surveys
  • Architectural and engineering plans
  • Permitting
  • Infrastructure
  • Site development


Loan Amount:

$25,000 – $100,000

Term: 18 months, with options for renewal

Forgivable Note:

Meeting project milestones, a percentage of the loan may be forgiven as grant to the project and to strengthen balance sheets
