About Sametrius Ruben
Sametrius Ruben is a 13-year service member veteran who pivoted her career to real estate development after recognizing a critical information gap regarding military benefits and wealth creation. Through her company, Ruben Legacy Homes, she not only builds quality, attainable homes but also uses her own journey to teach veterans how to leverage their VA loans for purposes like purchasing, building, or rehabbing property. She mentors veterans one-on-one and through seminar series, providing on-the-job training in construction to equip them with valuable civilian-market skills.
Ruben's commitment extends to collaborative projects, recently completing a single-family home for a veteran in Denton and partnering on a rental duplex in Terrell that serves as a first investment property and construction job for the participants. Her work directly addresses the historical exclusion and misinformation that has prevented many service members, particularly those of color, from accumulating generational wealth via military benefits. By teaching her "battle buddies" financial savvy and construction expertise, she leaves a lasting impact on their lives and the community.
