About Annie Evans
Annie Evans brings a decade-long career in nonprofit management and community development, rooted in a deep interest in urbanism and neighborhood revitalization. Her decision to pursue a Master’s degree in Urban Affairs ignited a spark of interest in the connectivity of services within a community and the historical trajectory of overlooked areas. This academic focus provided the foundational knowledge for her hands-on experience, beginning with her tenure at SouthFair Community Development Corporation.
Since October 2011, Ms. Evans has served as the Executive Director of SouthFair, responsible for providing vision, leadership, direction, and essential fiscal discipline. Under her directorship, SouthFair has completed over $8 million in single-family affordable housing development and maintains annual average occupancy of 95% across its apartment communities. Currently, she is leading the predevelopment phase for approximately $8.4 million in strategic residential and retail development, poised to bring major economic change and neighborhood assets to Malcolm's Point.
