About Jason Brown

Jason Brown's influential career was sparked by a simple question asked during a 5th-grade career day: "Why does my neighborhood not look like my friends’ neighborhoods?" This curiosity became the impetus for his work in real estate, driving him to dramatically improve one of Dallas’ oldest residential historic districts. As an entrepreneurial veteran in the brokerage space, he has since closed over $150 million in commercial and residential transaction volume, skillfully working with private investment trusts, developers, and municipalities alike.

Currently serving as the CEO of Dallas City Homes, Inc. (DCH), Jason leads an organization with a 30-year history of transforming distressed areas into safe, thriving neighborhoods. Under his leadership, DCH has developed or renovated over 2,400 rental units and more than 350 single-family homes, solidifying his reputation as a builder and advocate. His commitment to fighting blight continues with his new "5 for 550" plan, an initiative designed to build and preserve 550 units specifically for Dallas’ most undervalued communities.
