About James Armstrong III
James Armstrong III serves as the Senior Pastor of the Community Fellowship Church and the President & CEO of Builders of Hope Development Corporation, a leading Dallas development organization. His expertise is rooted in over a decade in the Investment Banking industry, having worked for top Fortune 500 companies like J.P. Morgan Chase. This financial acumen is crucial to his role on The City of Dallas' Housing Finance Corporation board, where he creatively structures complex financing for major affordable housing deals.
In his leadership role, James is responsible for crafting and managing the organization's overall strategic plan, overseeing all administrative, financial, and operational matters. His core ideology is that community engagement is the non-negotiable key to successful urban development, and he is a certified Urban Economic Development expert. He actively applies his vision through skilled community organizing, policy work, and serving on community boards, reflecting his commitment as a proud graduate of both Baylor University and Princeton Theological Seminary.
