About Demont Campbell

Demont Campbell's career trajectory began at the age of 16, when his youthful ambition to become an architect led him to an internship in a Dallas architectural office. His diverse background includes significant experience designing and engaging with local community projects, such as the impactful redesigns of Carter High School and South Oak Cliff High School. As an experienced Technical Designer skilled in software like AutoCAD and Revit, Demont earned a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from Texas Tech University, which included studying abroad in Spain.

Seeing an alarming lack of affordable family housing in Dallas, Demont founded Urban Nest Development in 2019 alongside his Grandfather, Dennis Ellis. Leveraging his architectural background, they began acquiring properties—primarily infill lots—to design affordable, open-concept floor plans in neighborhoods like Cedar Crest and Red Bird. The organization is now focused on the revitalization of these core neighborhoods by building housing options that are both affordable and highly adaptive for modern families.
